The Brief
The team at Kilo Kitchen Seminyak provided us with beautifully curated raw materials, dishes, drinks, ambiance, and the energy of the space itself. But they wanted more than documentation; they wanted interpretation. The brief was simple yet open-ended: bring our space and flavors to life. While creative direction was outlined by Kilo, they entrusted us with creative liberty to explore, experiment, and express beyond the standard visual formula.
The Solution
Kayana Creative approached this project with a hospitality-first mindset. We treated each shoot as a brand moment, not just a task. We curated content that feels intimate yet polished—highlighting textures, tones, shadows, and motion to mirror the Kilo experience. Every plate was captured with the same intention as it was crafted: to evoke. We focused on visual storytelling that invites the audience in, making them feel the warmth, the calm, and the culinary soul of the brand. Through collaborative feedback loops, we merged Kilo’s direction with our creative instinct, resulting in content that is both authentic and elevated.
Study Case
In one content series, we were tasked to highlight Kilo’s signature dishes during a seasonal rotation. Instead of standard product photography, we designed a narrative around “Dinner Moments That Linger.” Using slow-motion captures, ambient lighting, and human elements, like a subtle hand reach, steam rising, or a glass set down mid-conversation, we told a story of timeless evenings, not just meals.
The result? A set of Instagram Reels and carousel images that not only drove high engagement but also reinforced Kilo’s position as a culinary-lifestyle destination rather than just a dining spot.
